How do I purchase Privacy Protection with Hosteasy, and why is it important?

Privacy Protection (also known as WHOIS Protection) hides your personal details such as your name, email, address, and phone number from being publicly visible in the WHOIS database when you register a domain. This helps prevent spam, identity theft, and unwanted marketing contacts.

Note:

• For .in domains, privacy protection is enabled by default at no extra cost.
• For .com and other generic domains, you need to purchase it separately.

To purchase Privacy Protection for your domain with Hosteasy:

1. Log in to your Hosteasy Client Area.
2. Go to Orders > My Invoices.
3. Locate your domain and click Manage Domain.
4. Find and click on Privacy Protect.
5. In the dialog box, click Continue, and proceed with the payment.

Once completed, your domain will be privacy protected, and your WHOIS data will no longer be visible to the public.
